Wow, thanks! The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is a great lead, I hadn't thought of that. Local archives is a good shout too... I'm picturing myself poring over dusty photos, haha. It's kind of amazing to think how much history is packed into a small playground. I'll definitely update everyone if I uncover any secrets about these ancient trees. Wish me luck!
