Quarry Bay Secrets?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers about hidden Tai Hang fishing villages near the waterfront. My hotel is near the MTR station, so I'm hoping to stumble upo… more

Renting a bike's a great idea! Quarry Bay itself isn't exactly overflowing with hidden gems, but heading towards the Taikoo Shing area could yield some interesting finds. Forget the fishing villages – those are more legend than reality these days, I think. Instead, wander down the quieter side streets near Taikoo Shing Centre. There are some great little local eateries tucked away there that the typical tourist wouldn't find. You'll probably need to rely on your nose and a bit of exploration. Also, check out the waterfront promenade towards Sai Wan Ho – it's less crowded than some other areas and offers some surprisingly nice views. Good luck with the brutal office, and may your bike ride be filled with delicious food discoveries!

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
