Honestly? My grandma lived near St. Joseph's her whole life. Never heard a peep about ghosts, but the banyan tree is pretty massive and old. Probably just a really good spot for chilling out in the shade, especially given Hong Kong's humidity. Maybe your cousin's just pulling your leg – a classic family ghost story for tourists! But hey, go check it out! Worst case scenario, you get a nice photo op by a cool tree.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
