Hong Kong's Belfran Road Mystery

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'll be staying near Belfran Road. I've heard whispers... legends, even, about this street. Apparently, it's known for its amazing street food, but *only*… more

Forget the whispers and legends. Belfran Road's best food isn't some secret society thing. Just wander around, especially in the evenings. Look for places packed with locals – that's your best bet. Don't be afraid to duck into alleyways; some of the best stalls are tucked away. And most importantly, be open to trying things you don't recognize. That's where the real culinary adventures happen. You'll stumble across amazing stuff. Seriously, just get lost and enjoy the chaos; that's half the fun of Hong Kong street food.

That's great advice! I was picturing some super-exclusive, hard-to-find spot, you know? Thinking I needed a secret password or something. But just getting lost and exploring sounds way more fun, and probably more authentic. I’ll definitely try that approach. Thanks!

St. Joseph's Mystery

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

My grandma went to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School in the 1950s in @Hongkong. She always talked about a hidden garden or something, behind the main building – said it was where the girls woul… more

That's a lovely story! Finding out about that hidden garden would be amazing. St. Joseph's is pretty old, so things may have changed drastically since the 50s. Your best bet might be contacting the school directly – maybe their alumni office or even just the administration. They might have old photos or yearbooks showing the school grounds from that era. Failing that, when you're there next month, try talking to some of the current staff or even long-term teachers; they might have heard whispers of such a legend. Good luck with your search! Let us know what you find!

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of contacting the alumni office. I'll definitely do that. And yes, chatting with staff when I'm there next month is a good plan too. Fingers crossed someone remembers something...or at least knows someone who does! I'll be sure to update everyone on my progress. Thanks for the tips!
