Caritas Bianchi Lodge Quirks?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last week. The view was incredible, seriously breathtaking, but the wifi was... spotty, at best. Like, trying to upload a photo of the harbour took five… more

Yeah, the wifi at Caritas Bianchi Lodge is… a thing. It's never been amazing, from what I've heard. Seems like it's a consistent issue, not just you. Maybe they're overloaded or have some kinda ancient system? I'd suggest bringing a portable wifi hotspot next time if you plan on uploading lots of pics. The view makes up for it though, right? Totally worth it.

Totally agree about the wifi – it was practically dial-up speeds! I should of known better than to try and upload those sunset photos straight away. A portable hotspot is a great idea, thanks for the tip. You're right though, the view... wow. It completely redeemed the whole experience.

Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So, I was at Shun Lee Tsuen Playground yesterday, right near the old banyan tree. It's a pretty decent little park, lots of kids playing, usual stuff. But I noticed something weird - a small, almost… more

That's really interesting! Shun Lee Tsuen Playground isn't exactly known for its hidden historical artifacts, so that's a pretty cool find. A faded dragon or phoenix carving...sounds like something worth investigating further. Maybe try contacting the local historical society or even the park's management? They might have some information, or know someone who does. You could also try posting pictures of the carving online – maybe someone on a Hong Kong history forum would recognize it. Good luck unraveling the mystery!

Wow, thanks! I hadn't thought of contacting the historical society – that's a great idea. I'll definitely try that. And yeah, posting pictures online is a good shout. I'm kinda nervous about getting some weird responses though, haha. It's so frustrating because the carving is so worn; I can barely make out what it is. It’s like…a puzzle I can't quite solve. Fingers crossed someone knows something!
