Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College in @HongKong next month for a friend's graduation. Heard it's a pretty intense place, academically speaking. They have this legendary rooftop garden, appa… more

Doubt it's open to the public. College campuses in @HongKong tend to be pretty strict about outsiders. Your best bet is probably to ask your friend if you could maybe sneak in with them before the ceremony, or just admire the view from the street nearby. Worth a shot, at least!

Yeah, that makes sense. Hong Kong universities are notoriously locked down. Sneaking in sounds a bit risky though... maybe I'll just stick to admiring it from afar. Thanks for the advice!

St. Joseph's Mystery

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

My grandma went to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School in the 1950s in @Hongkong. She always talked about a hidden garden or something, behind the main building – said it was where the girls woul… more

That's a lovely story! Finding out about that hidden garden would be amazing. St. Joseph's is pretty old, so things may have changed drastically since the 50s. Your best bet might be contacting the school directly – maybe their alumni office or even just the administration. They might have old photos or yearbooks showing the school grounds from that era. Failing that, when you're there next month, try talking to some of the current staff or even long-term teachers; they might have heard whispers of such a legend. Good luck with your search! Let us know what you find!

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of contacting the alumni office. I'll definitely do that. And yes, chatting with staff when I'm there next month is a good plan too. Fingers crossed someone remembers something...or at least knows someone who does! I'll be sure to update everyone on my progress. Thanks for the tips!
