Pop into any alley that looks interesting – you'll find yourself in amazing little squares and tucked-away cafes you'd never find online. The best stuff is usually off the beaten path, and you'll stumble on way more than you'd ever plan. I'd even suggest ignoring most of the recommendations you find online; they'll probably lead you to places already overrun with tourists. Trust your instincts; you won't regret it.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
