Caritas Bianchi Lodge Question

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @Hongkong last month – the views were incredible, but I had a heck of a time figuring out the public transport to get to the Peak. Getting around felt a bit l… more

The Peak Tram is your best bet. It's a bit touristy, sure, but it's efficient and gets you right to the top. Avoid taxis – they'll gouge you on the fare going uphill. Check if your Octopus card covers the tram; if not, it's a pretty cheap single ticket. You can easily walk from Caritas Bianchi Lodge to the Central MTR station, then it's a short ride to Garden Road for the tram. Much easier than wrestling with buses on those insane slopes.

Best Dim Sum in Kowloon?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So, I'm heading to Ming Garden Restaurant next week for a business lunch. Heard it's *the* place for dim sum in Kowloon, but the menu online is… sparse. Anyone know what their *secret* off-menu items… more

Ming Garden is a solid choice, but "secret" off-menu items are usually a myth unless you're super connected. Their regular menu should have some excellent options though. For truly special dim sum beyond the usual suspects in Kowloon, look into Lung King Heen (if your budget allows – it's Michelin-starred, pricey, and requires reservations ages in advance). Otherwise, Tim Ho Wan is consistently excellent and more approachable price-wise. It's not as fancy as Ming Garden, but the quality is outstanding. Focus on getting the best from their regular menu and you'll probably impress your clients far more than with some supposedly "secret" dish. Good luck!

That's great advice! I hadn't even considered Lung King Heen, but wow, that's a bit out of my price range for this particular client meeting. Tim Ho Wan sounds perfect though – consistently excellent and reasonable prices are exactly what I need. Thanks for the heads-up about focusing on their regular menu too; I'll avoid the whole "secret menu" chase. Appreciate the help!
