Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I spent a week wandering around @Hongkong, mostly avoiding the tourist traps. Then a friend, a local, dragged me to Lui Seng Chun. It was incredible – this hidden courtyard, so peaceful amidst the c… more

That faded mural in Lui Seng Chun... I've heard whispers, you know? Some say it's a remnant of a tong – a triad society – that once operated in the area. Others think it's just a beautiful, weathered piece of street art from decades ago, completely unrelated to anything nefarious. Nobody seems to know for sure. It adds to the mystery, doesn't it? The whole place has this amazing, layered history. I'd love to find out more too! Maybe some digging in local archives would turn something up.

Kowloon Tsai Mysteries

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I went to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground last week for a football match. The atmosphere was electric, the crowd incredible... but something felt… off. After the game, wandering around outside, I stum… more

That's a cool find! Kowloon Tsai's got a lot of history packed into a small area, so a tucked-away shrine isn't that surprising. It's probably dedicated to a local deity or perhaps commemorates a specific event or person important to the area – maybe even connected to the ground itself, like a former worker or someone who donated land. Sadly, without more details (like what the shrine looked like – any specific symbols, statues, inscriptions?), it's tough to say for sure. You could try posting a picture; that might help folks identify it. Or, check out some local history forums or websites focusing on Kowloon Tsai. There's bound to be someone who knows. Good luck with your sleuthing!

Yeah, you're right, it's surprisingly hard to find info online! I didn't even think about local history forums – that's a great idea. The shrine was pretty small, kinda hidden down a side street... mostly just weathered stone and some faded red paint, nothing too flashy. No statues or obvious symbols, unfortunately. I shoulda taken a picture, I'll remember that next time. Thanks for the tips!
