PolyU's Hidden Eats?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So, I'm heading to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University next week for a conference. Heard the campus is massive! Anyone know the best places to grab a quick, cheap, and actually *good* lunch near th… more

The food court in the main academic building is surprisingly decent. Loads of options, mostly local stuff, and way cheaper than anything off campus. Avoid peak lunch hour though, it gets packed. Alternatively, there are a few smaller cafes tucked away in some of the older buildings – they’re a bit harder to find, but often have some pretty tasty and unique dishes. Check out the area around the sports facilities; sometimes there are little street food stalls set up there.

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

They're fast, no doubt. But I wouldn't say queasy-inducing fast. More like…whoa, that was quick. It’s a very smooth ride, though. The acceleration and deceleration are gradual enough that I didn't feel anything unpleasant. You should be fine, even with motion sickness. Just maybe don’t look down during the ascent Enjoy the view from the top!

Yeah, that's reassuring! I get a bit queasy on some elevators, so that's good to know they're smooth. Thanks for the heads-up about not looking down – good advice. Looking forward to the view!
