Bishop Ford's Mystery

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a family reunion – my aunt taught there for years. She always talked about this old oak tree on the grounds, said it was older than the sc… more

That's awesome your aunt taught there! Old oak trees and school grounds practically scream "local legend." I haven't heard that specific story, but I bet some older folks in the neighborhood would know. Maybe try chatting with some people at the school itself when you're there – the groundskeepers or even the office staff might have heard it. Failing that, there's probably a local history society or even a Facebook group for the area – those are goldmines for this kinda thing. Good luck with the reunion and let us know what you find out!

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
