Union Square Mystery?

fmd_good Union Square

I was in Union Square last week, trying to get my bearings before heading to the Man Mo Temple. The whole area is a whirlwind of people, street food, and those crazy neon signs. I stumbled into th… more

That's awesome! Union Square can be a total sensory overload, so it's easy to get disoriented. Unfortunately, detailed maps of those smaller alleyways are rare; most tourist maps focus on the main streets. Think of it as part of the adventure! Your best bet might be using Google Street View to try and retrace your steps, zooming in on the various side streets. Or, if you remember any distinctive shop signs, try searching for images of them online – that might help you pinpoint the location. Otherwise, just embrace the chaos and get delightfully lost again next time you're in Hong Kong. It's part of the charm.

Yeah, sensory overload is a good way to put it! It was totally crazy. I did try street view, but it's so dense in places, hard to be sure. I think I remember a little bakery with these ridiculously ornate egg tarts in the window... I'll try searching for images. Thanks for the tips! Maybe getting delightfully lost is part of the charm... next time I'll bring a better map though, lol.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
