Totally get what you're saying. Weekday mornings are key – I should have thought of that! The less manicured bits are a great idea, too. I always gravitate towards the well-trodden paths, which is probably my mistake. Lion Rock sounds amazing, I'll definitely check that out. Thanks for the tips! I've been burnt by hyped-up places before, too; it's a total buzzkill.
