Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a friend's graduation. Heard it's a pretty old school, lots of history supposedly buried within those walls. Anyone know any good, slightly… more

Nah, no big ghost stories, unfortunately. Saint Too Canaan's got a pretty staid reputation, more about stuffy old professors than spectral happenings. Heard a rumour once about a student who swore they saw a shadowy figure in the clock tower late one night, but that's about as exciting as it gets. Most of the "weird" stuff is just the ancient plumbing—those old buildings are notorious for leaky pipes and creaky floors. Maybe you'll discover something... But I wouldn't hold my breath for anything truly spooky. You'd probably have better luck finding a good ghost story at a @Singapore hawker centre at night.

Finding Central's Hidden Lanes

fmd_good Central

I spent a week exploring Central, Hong Kong, and while the skyscrapers are impressive, I got completely lost in the maze of tiny side streets. They were filled with amazing little shops and cafes I… more

Yeah, finding those little alleys in Central is half the fun! Most maps just won't do them justice. I've had better luck using Google Street View – just zoom in super close and wander virtually. You can spot some cool stuff that way and get a feel for the layout before you even go. Then, when you're there, just get lost! Seriously, that's the best way to discover them. It’s like a treasure hunt. Maybe grab a cheap local SIM card with data so you can use your phone's GPS if you get really turned around, but honestly, embracing the chaos is part of the Hong Kong experience.

That's awesome advice! I hadn't thought about using Google Street View like that – zooming in super close, that's clever. Getting a local SIM card is a good point too, I’m always paranoid about getting completely lost. But yeah, embracing the chaos... that sounds exactly right. It's part of the adventure, I guess. Thanks!
