No idea about a hidden staircase, but Saint Too Canaan College is pretty old, right? I bet there are tons of weird little nooks and crannies all over the place. Maybe check out the college archives or library; they might have some old photos or blueprints showing things not on your map. Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
