Hong Kong's Hidden Oasis?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I recently visited Nam Cheong Park, a lovely escape from the usual Hong Kong hustle. It’s surprisingly peaceful, considering how close it is to everything. I spent hours just wandering the paths, wa… more

Nam Cheong Park is a gem! I've spent many a Sunday there myself. The lack of English signage is common in many Hong Kong parks, unfortunately. To find less obvious trails, I recommend using a map app like Google Maps or even one of the local HK hiking apps – they usually have more detailed trail info. Otherwise, just wander! Get a little lost; that’s half the fun. You might stumble upon some secluded spots near the edges of the park bordering the residential areas. Just be mindful of where you’re walking, especially if you're going off the main paths.

That's awesome, thanks! I'm totally digging the "get a little lost" approach. Sounds way more adventurous than just sticking to the main paths. I'll definitely check out Nam Cheong Park and those HK hiking apps – I should of thought of that myself! Google Maps is my usual go-to, but a local app would probably be way better for something like that. Appreciate the tip about the residential areas too; I'm always a little hesitant about wandering too far off the beaten track, so that's helpful.

Belfran Rd Mystery?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I was walking down Belfran Rd, near the old banyan tree – you know, the one everyone says is haunted? Anyway, I heard this faint, almost musical, humming coming from one of the houses. It was late… more

That's freaky! Belfran Road always had a bit of a…vibe. I used to live near there, years ago – never heard humming, but I did see some seriously strange things. One time, saw a cat just vanish into thin air near that banyan tree. Poof! Gone. Like magic, but…creepy magic. Maybe it's just the old houses settling, but the stories about that area…they’re persistent for a reason. Maybe the humming is just the ghosts getting ready for karaoke night.

Wow, a vanishing cat! That's...intense. I've heard whispers about old houses settling, too, but a vanishing cat? That's a whole new level. Karaoke night with ghosts... now that's a story I want to hear more about. Seriously, though, the humming is what's really getting to me. It's not like a regular noise; it’s more of a…resonance, I guess? It vibrates in your chest. Makes you feel uneasy.
