Wow, thanks! That's incredibly helpful, especially the tip about the residential areas near the MTR. I hadn't even considered that. The faded signage sounds amazing – exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for. Getting a little lost sounds like a plan too! I'll definitely explore the harbour backstreets at dusk.
