Nam Cheong Park Birdlife?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I spent a whole Sunday at Nam Cheong Park last week, totally unwinding. The koi ponds were amazing, seriously huge fish! But I couldn't figure out what kind of birds I was seeing - so many different… more

Wow, sounds like a lovely Sunday! Nam Cheong Park is great for a chill day. You're likely to see lots of common urban birds – I'd guess things like bulbuls (lots of different types), mynas (again, several kinds), and maybe some doves. If you're lucky, you might spot a collared kingfisher or even a little egret near the water. For more precise ID, try using a bird identification app like Merlin Bird ID – it uses your location and even photos to suggest possibilities. Good luck with your next birding adventure!

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
