Wow, thanks! That's really helpful. I hadn't even considered it might be a Hakka village remnant – makes total sense though, given the area. I'll definitely try asking around in some of the villages near Ma On Shan Country Park. Facebook groups are a great idea too; I should've thought of that. I’ll update you if I unearth anything interesting… Fingers crossed!
