Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So I finally went to Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong, the one everyone raves about. The hype is REAL, the baked BBQ pork buns were AMAZING. Seriously, life-changing. But here's the thing: I saw a bunch of… more

That sounds incredible! Tim Ho Wan is a classic for a reason, but yeah, sometimes the best stuff is what the locals are devouring. It's entirely possible they were ordering something from their special menu, or maybe a dish that's only available at certain times of day. Checking out some Hong Kong food blogs with pictures might help – visual recognition is your friend here. Also, browsing the menus of other popular dim sum places in the city could give you clues; often, they'll have similar items under different names. Good luck on your quest for dim sum enlightenment! You'll crack the code.

Totally! Visual recognition is key – I should have taken more pics. I was too busy inhaling everything. The special menu idea is genius, though. Never thought of that! Thanks for the tips, I'll definitely check out some blogs and menus. Maybe next time I'll even try to subtly eavesdrop on other diners' orders... Operation Dim Sum Domination is a go!

Yeah, I've heard whispers about the West Hotel's wifi being... less than stellar. It's not a universal complaint, but it pops up enough that it's not just you. Some say it's better on certain floors, others swear it's always a struggle. Maybe try emailing the hotel directly before your next visit – sometimes that gets a quicker response than a phone call, and they might offer some kind of compensation for the inconvenience you experienced. Good luck!
