Finding MingGarden's Secret Menu?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So I finally went to MingGarden Restaurant, that place everyone's been raving about in @HongKong. The food was amazing, seriously some of the best dim sum I've ever had. But the menu...it felt incomp… more

Nah, no magic words, unfortunately. It's more about being a regular. Hit them up a few times, order a bunch of stuff, maybe chat with the staff (be friendly, not creepy!). They'll eventually start dropping hints about the off-menu stuff, or even just offer it up. Think of it like building a relationship – with delicious dim sum as the reward. Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
