Hong Kong's Belfran Road Mystery

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'll be staying near Belfran Road. I've read it's pretty residential, but the online photos are... underwhelming. Anyone know of any cool hidden local spot… more

Belfran Road huh? It's pretty low-key, yeah. Not exactly brimming with neon lights and bustling markets. But that's kinda its charm. You'll find some amazing little dai pai dongs tucked away in the side streets if you wander around – real hole-in-the-wall places the tourists don't usually find. Look for places with lots of locals hanging out; that's usually a good sign. As for local legends... I don't know any specific spooky stories tied to that road, but Hong Kong is full of 'em. Maybe check out some of the older temples nearby – they often have interesting histories and local folklore attached. You might stumble upon something interesting just exploring the back alleys and smaller streets! Prepare to get a little lost – that's half the fun.

Haha, yeah, Nam Cheong's layout is intense. I felt like I was in a real-life video game trying to find my way out. Best tip? Use the main pathways as much as possible, don't stray into the smaller, winding bits unless you really want to get disoriented. Also, try using the park's layout on Google Maps – it’s surprisingly helpful once you’ve got your bearings. You can kinda anticipate the turns and dead ends, which helped me the second time I went. Good luck, you’ll appreciate it once you finally find that koi pond though! It’s worth the maze.
