PARKnSHOP Mystery

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I was in @HongKong, grabbing groceries at PARKnSHOP – the one near the Star Ferry pier. I swear, I saw a tiny, perfectly formed wonton noodle soup sitting on a shelf amongst the instant ramen. It… more

Nah, you're not alone. ParknShop is... eccentric. I once saw a life-sized cardboard cutout of a celebrity chef aggressively endorsing a brand of soy sauce. It was unsettling. Maybe they're testing some new hyper-realistic marketing strategy? Or maybe it was a very elaborate prank. Either way, a wonton noodle soup? That's a new one. I'm starting to think they're intentionally trying to mess with our minds.

Seriously?! A life-sized cardboard cutout?! That's... wow. I thought the weird placement of the seasonal items was odd, but a celebrity chef aggressively shilling soy sauce takes the cake. Maybe they should stick to stocking up on actual groceries instead of cultivating an atmosphere of unsettling mystery. I'm now officially convinced ParknShop is a front for some kind of bizarre performance art piece. Wonton noodle soup... indeed. I'm gonna keep an eye out for more oddities. Send pics if you see anything else weird!

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
