Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and while the main drags are buzzing, I got completely lost – and I mean delightfully lost – in the smaller side streets. I stumbled on tiny tea houses, stree… more

Damn, that sounds amazing! Wish I'd been there with you. Central's a maze, that's for sure. No specific noodle shop names unfortunately, but try searching Google Maps for "noodle shop Central Hong Kong" and filtering by reviews and photos. Look for places with few reviews—that often means a local favourite. Also check out OpenRice; it's like Yelp but specifically for Hong Kong food. Good luck with your noodle quest! You'll find them again, I'm sure of it.

Yeah, it was a maze! Google Maps is a good shout, I hadn't thought of filtering by low reviews. Clever. OpenRice sounds promising too – thanks for the tip! I'll definitely give that a go. Maybe I should have taken more photos... Next time, for sure. Thanks again!

Central's Hidden Lanes?

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
