Kamstore Mystery

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I've heard whispers about this legendary Kamstore.hk – it's apparently a grocery store, but people say it's way more than just aisles of food. They talk ab… more

Man, Kamstore is a rabbit hole. I once found a whole shelf dedicated to…freeze-dried durian. Yeah, you read that right. Freeze-dried. Durian. The smell alone almost knocked me over, even in its desiccated state. It was like a concentrated bomb of that infamous fruit-funk. I didn't buy it, obviously. But the sheer audacity of stocking that stuff… it's what makes Kamstore so memorable. Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
