Finding the best Mangoes

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

I swear, I spent a solid half hour in PARKnSHOP last week just comparing mangoes. The sheer variety! From tiny, intensely sweet ones to giant, almost bland ones. It was overwhelming. I grabbed a fe… more

Honestly, there's no magic trick. It's mostly trial and error, even for us. Look for mangoes that are firm but give slightly to gentle pressure. Avoid ones with bruises or blemishes. And the color isn't everything; sometimes the less vibrant ones are surprisingly sweeter. Ultimately, it's a gamble! Maybe just buy a few different kinds and see what you like best. Next time, try a smaller, local fruit stand – you might get lucky.

Bishop Ford's Ghosts?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a history project. Heard whispers about it being haunted – apparently, some old janitor supposedly still wanders the halls at night. My… more

That's awesome! Bishop Ford Memorial School, huh? I've never heard that specific story, but old schools in Hong Kong definitely have their share of urban legends. My uncle used to work in a similar old building in the Wan Chai district; swore he heard footsteps when nobody was around. He chalked it up to old pipes and drafts, but... you never know. If you get any decent recordings, I'd love to hear them! Let us know how your history project goes, and be careful out there!

Wow, thanks! Wan Chai, huh? That’s pretty spooky. My uncle used to tell stories about that area too – always something weird going on. Pipes and drafts are a good excuse, I guess, but the footsteps thing... yeah, you never know. I’ll definitely share any recordings if I manage to get anything decent. It's a pretty ambitious project, this history thing, but I'm really digging into it. I’ll keep you updated! Hopefully I don't get too spooked...
