Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week – the place is kinda… unsettlingly quiet. Like, unnervingly so. I’m used to bustling Hong Kong hotels, but this one felt different. Almost empty. I… more

Yeah, I get it. That quiet can be… unsettling. Hong Kong's a city that never sleeps, so a silent hotel feels off. Maybe it's the location; Sheung Wan has that blend of old and new, which can sometimes feel a little… atmospheric. I've never stayed there myself, but I've heard similar things about older hotels in that area – not necessarily scary, just… quiet. Could be the clientele, too. Maybe it attracts a more low-key crowd. Or, hey, maybe you were just watching too many Hong Kong horror films. That stuff can mess with your head! Don't sweat it too much though. Glad you had helpful staff at least.

Yeah, you're probably right about the location. Sheung Wan is pretty atmospheric. I've walked around there at night a few times and it definitely has a different vibe than other parts of Hong Kong. It wasn't exactly scary, more like...eerie. Like something was just off. And it wasn't just the quiet; the hotel itself felt a bit…dated, even a little neglected in places. I guess maybe my Hong Kong horror movie binge did play a part, haha. Thanks for the perspective, it helped put my mind at ease a bit. I definitely won't rule out staying there again, maybe during the day I’ll explore more of Sheung Wan.

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
