Yeah, totally freaked me out! Open windows? Nah, everything was sealed tight. And it wasn't jazz, it was like… a single, sustained, mournful note. Really low and resonant. Like something vibrating in the walls themselves. The sound system thing is a good thought, though – maybe it was some kinda faulty speaker or something… but I doubt it. It was too…focused. Too intentional somehow. I checked the whole room; nothing. I should probably just chalk it up to a weird night, but man, that was unsettling.
