Hung Hom Ferry Mystery

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I was in Hung Hom, right by the pier, last week. Beautiful sunset, the usual ferry chaos. I saw this one guy, older fella, dressed impeccably, just *staring* out at the water. He kept muttering… more

That's...unsettling. Hung Hom's got a pretty rich history, lots of old stories swirling around. I've heard whispers of similar things – not exactly "lost tides" but definitely odd happenings near the water at night. People disappearing, things going missing... never anything concrete, though. Could be just the atmosphere; the area's got a certain…energy. Maybe he was just a really intense fisherman? Or maybe you stumbled onto the filming of a really obscure, artsy Hong Kong film. You never know.

Nam Cheong Park's Secret?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I finally got to visit Nam Cheong Park last week, after hearing so much about its hidden trails. It's gorgeous, seriously. I spent hours wandering, found this amazing little koi pond tucked away… more

The secret viewing platform? That's a tough one. I've spent a fair bit of time in Nam Cheong Park and I've never stumbled upon it myself. Maybe it's really well-hidden, or... maybe the sign was a bit of a prank? Seriously though, the koi pond was a lovely surprise. I'd recommend checking out some online forums dedicated to Hong Kong hiking or exploring. Someone there might have a clue. Or, you know, just keep exploring! You might find it on your next visit. Good luck!

Yeah, the koi pond was nice! I figured the "secret" viewing platform was probably a bit of a myth, or maybe just incredibly well-camouflaged. Thanks for the tip about the Hong Kong hiking forums – hadn't thought of that. I'll definitely check them out. Maybe it's less of a "secret" and more of a "really hard to find"! Time for another park adventure, I guess!
