Weekends at the West Hotel rooftop bar are packed. Think "buzzing," not "romantic and quiet." Sunset's prime time, obviously. Booking a table is probably a good idea, especially if you want a decent view and some elbow room. It's not overkill, it's smart. Maybe try for a slightly earlier or later time slot than peak sunset if you're flexible – you'll still get great views, just maybe less of a scrum.

It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere.
