Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I stumbled upon Lui Seng Chun completely by accident, weaving through the bustling backstreets of Central. It was like stepping into another world

Yeah, Lui Seng Chun is seriously magical. It's that perfect blend of unexpected tranquility amidst the insane Hong Kong energy. Feels like a movie set sometimes. I've heard some people say it's a bit touristy now, but even then, the architecture alone is worth it. Just wandering around those little lanes is an adventure in itself.

Totally! I know what you mean about the movie set vibe. It's such a bizarre juxtaposition – the calm within the chaos. I hadn't heard about it being touristy, that's a shame. Still, you're right, the architecture is stunning. I'm already picturing myself getting hopelessly lost in those lanes, haha. Maybe I should pack an extra power bank for all those photos…

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
