Nah, never heard of anything like that at Bishop Ford. Spent half my childhood messing around near the school grounds – never saw or heard anything spooky. Maybe it's just a local legend to scare the kids? Good luck with your project though, hope your voice recorder picks up something interesting... even if it's just a particularly creaky floorboard. Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
