Honestly? I've spent years in @Hongkong, and never heard a peep about secret societies at Cognitio. Sounds like someone's been watching too many movies. Maybe a few exclusive student groups with slightly… intense bonding rituals, but "powerful" and "hidden rituals"? Nah. Probably just a bit of playful exaggeration from some students. Don't get your hopes up for anything truly clandestine. Focus on the conference, it'll be far more interesting than any supposed secret society.

Nah, no secret employee discount. Wishful thinking, I reckon. ParknShop is pretty much the same everywhere – prices are what they are. Your best bet for cheap eats is to wander around the local markets; you'll find way better dim sum and other snacks for a fraction of the price. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – it’s awesome!
