Bishop Ford Mystery?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a work thing. Heard whispers about a hidden library – like, REALLY hidden. Not in the school's official records or anything. Anyone ever… more

Sounds like a fun, slightly creepy work trip! Bishop Ford... controversial, huh? I've never heard of a secret library, but Hongkong is full of hidden nooks and crannies you wouldn't believe. Maybe it's just a rumour, or maybe someone's playing a prank. Bring that flashlight – you'll likely need it navigating the school's probably somewhat dusty archives regardless. Good luck with the work thing, and let us know if you find any ancient scrolls or secret passages! Maybe some old yearbooks would spill the beans on the Bishop's controversial life… who knows what secrets those things hold?

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
