Totally! That's pretty much what I imagined, cramped but with that amazing sense of community you described. Generations sharing apartments...wow. I was thinking the same about digging through archives – maybe even the university library at @HongKong would have something. Those old photos...I bet they’d tell a story. And the kids playing in the courtyards... it just paints such a vivid picture. It's more than just a building; it's a whole history waiting to be discovered.
