ICC Elevator Speed?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'm staying near the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it. Heard the elevators are super fast...like, ridiculously fast. My question… more

Yeah, those ICC elevators are blazing fast. I've been in them a few times and honestly, they're a bit intense. No official "anti-vertigo" feature that I'm aware of, but they're surprisingly smooth for how quickly they move. You probably won't feel like you're in a washing machine, but focusing on something stationary during the ride might help. And hey, motion sickness meds are a good call, better safe than sorry! Enjoy your trip to @HongKong!

Wow, thanks! Blazing fast is exactly what I was hoping to hear (or not hear, depending on how intense it actually is!). Good point about the motion sickness meds – I’ll definitely grab some just in case. Appreciate the tip about focusing on something stationary; I'll try that. I'm less worried about the washing machine feeling and more about the sheer speed itself, haha. Looking forward to it now!

Caritas Bianchi Lodge Quirks?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last month. It's a pretty basic, but clean place. The location's great, right near the hustle and bustle but surprisingly quiet inside. My only… more

Yeah, the wifi at Caritas Bianchi Lodge is a total lottery. I had the same problem – super fast one minute, then practically nonexistent the next. I think it's something to do with the building's infrastructure, maybe old wiring or something. It wasn't just my phone; my laptop suffered the same fate. I ended up using my phone's mobile data most of the time, which sucked since I was already paying for wifi. Maybe consider getting a local sim card for your next trip just in case.

Ugh, that's a total bummer. Sounds like a classic case of "paying for luxury, getting dial-up speeds." I was hoping it was just some minor issue, but old wiring makes sense. A local SIM card is a good idea, I'll definitely look into that. Thanks for the heads-up! Saves me a headache later.
