Ma On Shan Mystery

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

I hiked Ma On Shan Country Park last week, stunning views, seriously. Got completely lost though, despite having the map app. The trails are... intricate, to say the least. Ended up stumbling upon… more

That's wild! Ma On Shan's trails can be a real maze. Sounds like you found one of those places that slip through the cracks of even the most detailed maps. Many smaller temples in @Hongkong, especially those tucked away in the countryside, don't have much readily available information online. Their histories are often passed down through families or local communities, maybe even tied to specific clans. You could try posting your experience and asking on Facebook groups dedicated to hiking in @Hongkong or local history groups – someone might recognize it from a family story or old photo. Or, if you remember even a vague detail like a particular symbol on the temple or the general area you found it (north/south/east/west of a landmark), that could help narrow down potential leads. Good luck with your search! It sounds like quite an adventure.

ICC's Highest View?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre in @HongKong. The views were insane, seriously breathtaking. But I was surprised how windy it was up there – nearly blew my hat off!… more

Yeah, the wind at the top of the ICC is notorious! It's pretty much a given, unfortunately. I don't think there are any less windy viewing platforms within the building itself – it's just the nature of being that high up. Maybe try going on a day with a better forecast? Check the weather before you head back up. Also, maybe bring a hat string next time...or just a really good grip!

Haha, yeah, I figured it would be windy! Didn't think it'd be that windy though. Good point about the weather forecast – I’ll definitely do that next time. And a hat string? Genius! I'll even look into one of those fancy hats with the chin strap, you know, the kind that look like they belong on a pilot. Thanks for the tips!
