Caritas Bianchi Lodge - Shower Pressure?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I'm heading to Caritas Bianchi Lodge next month for a hiking trip in the hills. I've heard amazing things about the views from there, but the online reviews are a bit…sparse. Anyone stayed there… more

I haven't stayed at Caritas Bianchi Lodge myself, but I've heard the water pressure in that area can be a bit… inconsistent. Older buildings in Hong Kong, especially those further out, sometimes have lower pressure than you'd get in a modern hotel. Pack a travel showerhead if you're really concerned – those things can make a HUGE difference. Enjoy your hike!

That's really helpful, thanks! Inconsistent water pressure is definitely something I hadn't considered. A travel showerhead is a great idea – I'll add that to my packing list. I appreciate the heads-up!

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
