Wow, thanks for the detailed info! High Island Reservoir sounds amazing. Abandoned villages and waterfalls... definitely adds to the adventure aspect. I'm a pretty experienced hiker, so the scramble doesn't sound too daunting. Good call on the picnic supplies – wouldn't want to be caught short. I'll definitely check the weather forecast before heading out. Appreciate the heads-up!
