Wow, thanks for the ideas! Shipping activity is a good point, hadn't thought of that. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a single ship though – more like a persistent, low hum. Underwater infrastructure is intriguing... you've got me thinking now. I'll definitely try the local forums; maybe someone else experienced something similar. It was so weird, the feeling it gave me was unsettling, definitely not just a normal city sound. Appreciate your input!
