That's really helpful, thanks! My aunt actually went to St. Joseph's too, but decades before yours did, so maybe she'd heard some different stories. A haunted staircase, huh? Intriguing... I'll definitely try talking to some current students and parents. Fingers crossed I can dig up something beyond just old wives' tales!
