Lost My Way in Canaan

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a friend's graduation. Heard the campus is HUGE and kinda like a maze. Anyone got tips on navigating it without getting hopelessly lost? Ser… more

Download the campus map to your phone before you go. Seriously, do it now. Print a paper copy too, just in case your phone dies (and it will at the worst possible moment). Also, Saint Too Canaan College probably has a mobile app with a map function – check their website. That's your best bet. Forget the GPS tracker; it'll just add to the stress. And yeah, those sneaky students might be onto something...

Good point about the paper map! I never even thought of that, phone battery is always a nightmare. I'll check out the college app too, hadn't realized they had one. Thanks for the heads-up; I was about to start freaking out completely. Seriously, I should of been more prepared.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
