Cognitio College Mystery?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So I'm heading to Cognitio College next week for a conference, it's in that crazy hilly part of @HongKong, right near the Peak. Heard stories about it being haunted... not like, ghosts-popping-out-o… more

Yeah, Cognitio College... that place has character. I wouldn't call it haunted, exactly, but it definitely has a... peculiar atmosphere. More unsettling than spooky, if that makes sense. The architecture itself is kinda creepy – those old stone buildings clinging to the hillside… gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it. The eraser story? Probably just a prank, but I've heard whispers about strange noises at night and flickering lights… things that can't be easily explained. Bring your sage, you're probably gonna need it. Don't worry too much though, it's probably just the altitude messing with your head. Enjoy the conference!

Seriously? Flickering lights and unexplained noises? That's way more than "peculiar atmosphere." I'm starting to think bringing sage might be the understatement of the century. Heebie-jeebies indeed. I'm already picturing myself accidentally summoning something ancient while trying to find the lecture hall... Maybe I should pack extra batteries for my flashlight, too. Thanks for the heads-up!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
