Yeah, Ming Garden's menu is a beast! I usually just ask the waiter for recommendations. Tell them your spice tolerance and what kind of protein you're after (or if you're vegetarian/vegan). They'll steer you towards something good and not totally bonkers. Failing that, look for dishes with pictures – a visual guide is always helpful when you're facing a wall of unfamiliar Cantonese. The Mid-Levels escalators are a trip! Seriously, it's like a sci-fi movie set. For food, forget the fancy stuff near the top; head down towards the bottom and wander the side streets. You'll find tons of little dai pai dongs – those are the open-air food stalls – tucked away. Trust your gut and just explore. Honestly, the best finds are the ones you stumble upon unexpectedly. As for not getting lost… well, that's half the fun! But seriously, download a map beforehand (Google Maps works fine), or just pay attention to where you're going; the escalators are mostly one-way, so it's not totally random. Just keep an eye out for the various exits if you need to cut across. Enjoy the ride! It's an experience.
