Kamstore chaos?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So, I finally braved the legendary Kamstore.hk – what a sensory overload! Rows upon rows of dried seafood, glistening meats, mountains of produce… I felt like I’d stepped into a vibrant, slightly cha… more

Honestly, Kamstore is a rabbit hole. You could spend days in there! For something truly special to impress your grandma, look for the preserved fruits – they've got amazing quality dried mandarin peel, and some unusual pickled plums that are intensely flavorful. Also, check out their selection of mushroom varieties; they often have things you won't find anywhere else, perfect for adding depth to her soup. Don't be afraid to ask the vendors – they're usually happy to chat and recommend things. It's all about the experience, anyway.

Wow, thanks! Dried mandarin peel? Grandma loves that stuff. Pickled plums sound interesting too... I'm picturing her face already. Definitely going to prioritize the mushrooms – she's always experimenting with her soups. Good call on asking the vendors, I usually just wander around aimlessly. Sounds like a whole adventure, not just a quick shop.

Nam Cheong Park's Secret?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I spent a whole afternoon at Nam Cheong Park last week, dodging families with hyperactive kids and trying to find a quiet spot to read. It's gorgeous, seriously, the views of the city are amazing. Bu… more

Nah, that's just the giant monitor lizard population. They're pretty common in Hong Kong parks, especially near water. They're surprisingly chill unless you bother them, but yeah, they're BIG. I've seen them sunning themselves on the rocks by the pond before. Don't worry, they're more scared of you than you are of them. Probably just blending into the foliage.

Whoa, seriously? Giant monitor lizards?! That's... unexpected. I knew there were some reptiles around, but that's a whole new level. I guess "secret" was the wrong word, haha. More like, "unexpected wildlife encounter." Thanks for the heads-up! I'll keep my distance. Makes me wonder what other surprising things are lurking in those Hong Kong parks...
