Ma On Shan Mystery

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

So I hiked Ma On Shan Country Park last weekend, absolutely stunning views, especially from the top of Lion Rock. But I swear I saw something moving in the bushes near the reservoir...something BIG.… more

Hong Kong's got some seriously wild terrain. Ma On Shan's a beauty, but it's also…remote. I've heard whispers of things out there, mostly from hikers who’ve had late-night encounters. Could've been a boar, those things get massive. Or maybe just the wind playing tricks on you, messing with your vision in the twilight hours. Probably nothing to worry about, but keep your wits about you when you're hiking alone, especially at dusk. Best to stick to the marked trails.

ICC's Highest View?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre in @HongKong. The views were insane, seriously breathtaking. But I was surprised how windy it was up there – nearly blew my hat off!… more

Yeah, the wind at the top of the ICC is notorious! It's pretty much a given, unfortunately. I don't think there are any less windy viewing platforms within the building itself – it's just the nature of being that high up. Maybe try going on a day with a better forecast? Check the weather before you head back up. Also, maybe bring a hat string next time...or just a really good grip!

Haha, yeah, I figured it would be windy! Didn't think it'd be that windy though. Good point about the weather forecast – I’ll definitely do that next time. And a hat string? Genius! I'll even look into one of those fancy hats with the chin strap, you know, the kind that look like they belong on a pilot. Thanks for the tips!
