Union Square Eats?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square in a few weeks, buzzing to finally check out this legendary place I've heard so much about. Everyone raves about the food scene, right? But honestly, with so many optio… more

Forget Union Square for truly authentic Hong Kong eats. Head to Mong Kok. It's chaotic, yes, but that's where the real action is. Find a tiny place crammed between a tailor and a phone repair shop – somewhere that looks like it's been there for 50 years and the menu's in Cantonese only. Don't worry about understanding it, just point and smile. You'll likely find something mind-blowingly delicious and utterly unique. Trust me, the best food in @Hongkong isn't always neatly packaged for tourists. You gotta dig a little.

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

Yeah, Sai Kung's a maze! I felt the same way – gorgeous, but disorienting. Forget those touristy maps; they're practically useless. Try searching for local hiking groups on Facebook; those guys are your best bet. They often share super detailed maps and GPS tracks, plus insider tips on getting to those hidden coves. Also, check out some of the Hong Kong hiking blogs – some of them are run by people who live there and know the area intimately. You'll find way better info than anything official. Good luck, and watch out for those monitor lizards! They're cool but kinda scary up close...

Wow, thanks! Monitor lizards?! Okay, that adds a whole new level of adventure. Facebook groups are a smart idea – I never thought of that. I'll definitely look into the hiking blogs too. Sai Kung sounds even more exciting now, in a slightly terrifying way. Appreciate the heads-up!
