Hung Hom's Hidden Eats?

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to Hung Hom next week, buzzing to finally explore this part of Kowloon I've always kinda overlooked. Heard the food scene's amazing but super local – like, tiny hole-in-the-wall places… more

Man, Hung Hom for dim sum? You're in for a treat. Forget the tourist traps, head straight for the backstreets near the Whampoa Garden area. There are tons of tiny dai pai dongs and local tea houses tucked away – you'll find them by wandering, honestly. Don't expect menus in English; point and hope for the best! The dim sum is usually displayed in steam baskets, so you can see what you're getting. It's all about the experience – the chatter, the steam, the deliciousness. You won't be disappointed. Just be prepared for a bit of a queue, especially on weekends. Good luck!

fmd_good Central

Just wander. Seriously. Central's a maze, especially around Hollywood Road and its side streets. Don't bother with a map, let yourself get delightfully, deliciously lost. The best food finds are usually where the locals eat – look for places packed with people who aren't tourists. And yeah, following your nose is a great strategy. You'll probably end up somewhere amazing, even if you have no clue where you are. Bonus points if you find a place with a queue – that usually means good stuff.
