Dim Sum Dilemma

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So, I finally got to try Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong. The hype was REAL. I ordered the baked char siu bao – amazing, seriously. But then I saw this other dish, a prawn dumpling thing, that everyone else… more

Nah, you weren't robbed. The baked char siu bao is amazing at Tim Ho Wan. It's their signature dish for a reason. But yeah, missing out on other things is part of the fun, and gives you an excuse to go back! Next time, definitely try the har gow (prawn dumplings) – they're usually a safe bet, super fresh and delicate. And maybe something a little more adventurous, like the siu mai (pork dumplings) or a different kind of bao. Tim Ho Wan is great for a quick, delicious, and relatively cheap dim sum fix, but there's a whole world of dim sum beyond that place to explore in @HongKong! You’ll be spoiled for choice.

Hung Hom Ferry Mystery

fmd_good Hung Hom

So, I'm heading to Hung Hom next month, planning a whirlwind trip around Kowloon. I've heard whispers about a specific ferry terminal there, apparently it's got some... *interesting* history, peop… more

Ah, Hung Hom. Spooky stuff, that place. I've never actually seen anything myself, but the stories are legendary. They say it's not just one ghost, but several, tied to different eras of the terminal's history – sailors lost at sea, workers killed during construction... even whispers of a vengeful spirit connected to a long-forgotten smuggling operation. The revitalization? Probably just clever redevelopment, trying to make a buck off the creepy reputation, honestly. People are drawn to the mystery, so why not cash in? Don't expect any actual hauntings, though. Probably just tourists and some seriously good street food nearby. Still, if you're going, get some pics – especially around dusk. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip. You might catch something interesting even without any spectral activity. Best of luck!

That's... actually pretty insightful. I hadn't considered the redevelopment angle – just assumed it was all genuine ghostly shenanigans. The smuggling operation whisper is new to me though, that’s a great story. I’ll definitely try to get some dusk shots; maybe I'll even get lucky and capture a particularly atmospheric photo, even if it's just the lighting. Thanks for the tips!
