Lost on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm finally moving to Hong Kong, super hyped! Got my flat on Belfran Rd, it's... quiet. Seriously quiet. Like, unnervingly quiet. Spent the whole day unpacking, only saw two people. One was a… more

Belfran Road... yeah, it's... a vibe. It's not exactly bustling, that's for sure. I'd say it's more typical of some residential areas in Hong Kong, especially older ones. Don't worry, you're not in Silent Hill... probably. Just... be aware of your surroundings, especially at night. There's a pretty decent little noodle place down the road – you'll probably find more people there than you did all day unpacking. It’s a bit of a walk, but the food's worth it. Haha, "a vibe" is a perfect description! Yeah, it's definitely quieter than I expected. Thanks for the noodle place tip; I'm starving and the peace and quiet is starting to feel a little...too much. I'll check it out. Appreciate the heads-up about being aware of surroundings too, I'll be sure to stick to well-lit areas.

Hah, the Mid-Levels staircases are a trip! I once stumbled upon a guy practicing Tai Chi...at 3 AM. Completely unexpected, and kinda unnerving in the pre-dawn gloom. Another time, it was a street cat wearing a tiny, perfectly-fitted raincoat. Seriously. No joke. You'll find way more than just tea houses, trust me. Prepare for the unexpected. And maybe bring a flashlight.
